Among the buildings that house the Visual Arts are two that date back to the early l900's, and two new structures - an art gallery and studio. The older buildings were renovated, creating studios and classrooms. New exhibition space was placed below pedestrian terraces, maintaining a major campus pathway. |

Modular bays in the new art gallery permit variation in gallery size and form: In combination, a series of bays provide an open floor plan. Partitioned off, each bay can function as a private room. Placement of skylights within each bay aligns with original Georgian windows.

In 1902, it was the campus dining hall. Fifty years later, it was turned into an art gallery, with acoustical tiles that obscured the original coffered ceiling. Today the renovated building holds art studios, with the original ceiling restored and a new mezzanine added.
