A new 18,000 sq ft., 16,000 volume library in Martha’s Vineyard.  Lower level encompases entry, circulation desk, administration, adult services, and public meeting room.  Upper level includes childrens section, reference, young adults, and a historical room.

The upper level’s high ceilings take advantage of the space underneath the pitched roofs.  Ample daylight and natural oak are features. 

White cedar shingles are typical for the Vineyard.  Diamond pattern shingles are used in panels between exterior windows.
