House on a Lake (NH) |
| |

The site: A rocky, wooded hillside overlooking a lake. The design: A trio of cabins, separate but linked, forming a procession to the lake: main house / son's house / sleeping porch. Expandable and efficient, the design is tailored to fit client's request for a house with "no fat." |
| |
Facing the lake, the cabins break free from their connecting walkway, forming three independent structures. Each house features open living space / sleeping loft / central woodstove. Compact floor areas are expanded by high poplar ceilings and panoramic views to the lake. |
